Poetry Perfection

Yo yo yo what's up guys, and welcome back to my daily blog thingiemadoohickie. Yesterday was pretty awesome, considering that the Dreadlock Alien, one of the most funny and talented people I have ever met, showed us how to interpret poetry into an entertaining performance. When he introduced himself yesterday morning, everyone in the room immediately liked him due to the way how he presented himself and how good he is at RAPPING poems (never heard a person do that).

Throughout the day he taught us how to improve our skills in writing poetry, and soon enough he made go into groups of five, where each group would perform a poem written by one of the group's teammates and the best one would be the winner. My group consisted of my bros Eric, Justin, HoYen and Khye. Considering we had a lot of synergy together, we decided to perform Justin's poem because it is about him. We practiced for countless times, adding more bits every time we had an idea, and then it came to our turn to perform. We called ourselves The Greek Grammar Gods, with us being named after several greek gods. Surely enough when we finished our performance we got a huge standing ovation from the room, it feels like we are performing in front of over 200 people. When all of the groups finally finished, it's time for the judges to decide which group was the best, Mr Phil chose US, which we were happy for, Ms Patricia chose the Peanut Pronouns and Ms Jillian chose the Grammar Nazis. It all came down to an X-Factor style voting session, where everyone in the room would cheer for the group they wanted to win. We WON by a HUGE margin, and we were so delighted that it felt like winning a grand prize.

Yesterday was a fantastic day, for me and my friends. I hope that the Dreadlock Alien would visit us again someday... But until then, that is all for me. Adios
