Apple WWDC Impressions

Hey dudes and welcome back. Today I want to talk about what happened on Wednesday, as all of you tech geeks should know Apple hosted a conference on that day revealing and talking about their new products. So here are my impressions on the new products:

iPhone 6S: The successor to the iPhone 6, the 6S sets out to show what the future of touchscreen will be like, with the help of 3D Touch. In a way this is like a right click on a computer implemented onto iOS, you just press on an application, hold and some options will come up (e.g if it's the Camera, then holding on it will bring up options like "Take a Selfie, Record a Video etc). I think this is a neat addition to the current Force Touch technology which is currently on the new Macbook. Other than that, the new iPhone boasts one of two new chips, the A9. It is said to have 70% faster processing speed and 90% faster graphics performance. Looks promising! They also amped up the camera from 8 to 12 megapixels, a clear step in the right direction there. Also a neat new feature they added came in the form of live wallpapers, now if you press and hold over your wallpaper, it will move. This is because they added a new feature when taking photos, now when you're about to take a photo you can capture the last vital moments before you take the snap, this can be used as your wallpaper, which I think is pretty cool. And finally they added a new colour, Rose Gold, aimed at those customers that want to improve their "bling" game.

iPad Pro: The new iPad Pro is designed to compete with other mainstream big tablets, as this iPad has the biggest screen fitted onto an iPad, with the screen measuring 12.9 inches diagonally and boasting an incredible 5.6 million pixels, more than the Retina Macbook Pro. It can shoot 4K video, and has the nowadays standard Retina display. This iPad boasts the most powerful chip Apple has designed to date, the A9X. It is expected to have 22x more CPU performance and a mind blowing 360x greater graphics performance, which is unheard of. Accompanied with the 64-bit architecture, the computing power of this iPad beats the computing power of some current flagship PCs. But the most important and most controversial addition is the arrival of a stylus, or in this case Apple Pencil (to be honest they could have came up with a better name than that). It works as any other normal stylus would do, enabling people to draw and annotate on their iPad more easily and etc. But I remember Steve Jobs said that if you need a stylus to operate a phone or tablet, you failed. Well that escalated quickly, seems that Apple is drifting away from Steve Jobs' footsteps. And in my opinion, needing to charge a stylus is just absurd.

Apple Watch/watchOS 2: The only thing they announced about the Apple Watch was more combinations of the wrist bands with the watch itself so people would be able to make their watch more unique and different from the others, hence the watch is Apple's most personal device yet. They also announced some details on the new system for the watch, watchOS 2. In this version, developers are able to create third party applications that would be implemented into the watch. Aside from this, they added some features like replying to email, Time Travel, which lets you to see whats coming up in the day or in the coming weeks, and new watch faces.

Apple TV 2: The new Apple TV sets out to redefine the meaning of entertainment, as it combines gaming and TV shows/movies into one box. The new addition of TV channels aims to beat the TV cable industry, and the addition of games aims to provide more entertainment than you asked for. Siri is also added to make navigating and watching certain TV shows/movies more convenient as you can ask to "watch this movie" or "play this game" etc. Other than that the new Apple TV also has a new operating system, called tvOS.

Well that's all folks, hope you enjoyed reading my impressions on Apple's new devices, until next time! Adios
