Exams

Hey guys and welcome back! Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, been really busy with my IGCSEs lately. Actually ironically that's the topic of today's post, exams. It's something that we all have to go through, sitting in a huge room doing a paper that's testing you on a particular subject you have studied throughout your secondary years. In my opinion, exams are just there to test what you're capable of and what you're not, and my advice is if you felt like you didn't do well in a particular exam don't let it take over you and send you on a rollercoaster of emotions, just let it go and move on. Besides, exams don't necessarily predict how your future is going to be like, exams are there so we could get high scores and get a chance to enter top universities around the world. Well that's my perspective on exams, you could have other opinions.

Exams are definitely nerve-racking, it puts you on the ragged edge and frankly I kept getting the same feeling before entering every one of my exams, scared and nervous to be precise. I don't know what exactly causes us to feel that way before exams, besides it's just answering questions on a piece of paper, I guess we're just afraid of stuffing up the exam and ending up with a mediocre score at the end of it. But as I said before, exams don't predict your future, take Jeremy Clarkson for example. He is one of the presenters of my favourite show, Top Gear (now it's called "The Grand Tour"). In his autobiography he said that he failed 3 or 4 of his IGCSEs if I'm not mistaken, and look where he is now, presenting one of the most watched factual TV programmes in the world. This just proves that the main things you need to have for success is hard-work, resilience and determination. With these things on your back, you're well on your way to making you future bright.

PS Have my last 2 literature exams tomorrow, so I gotta study now. I absolutely hate literature...
